The political parties in Patna have already started strategizing for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. There is a lot of speculation and tension, especially within the Mahagathbandhan, regarding the distribution of seats. JDU’s Senior Leader’s Statement on Seat-sharing
Vijendra Yadav, a senior leader of JDU and the Energy Minister of Bihar, made a significant statement regarding seat-sharing. He stated that there will be no compromise on any of the 16 seats held by JDU in Bihar. This statement can further complicate the situation for Lalu Yadav’s party, RJD, as they aim to secure more seats in the Lok Sabha elections. It is important to note that Bihar has a total of 40 Lok Sabha seats, out of which 16 are contested by JDU. This leaves 24 seats for other parties in the Mahagathbandhan, including RJD, Congress, and Left parties.

The growing mistrust between Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav has become a cause for concern in Bihar. With JDU’s clear stance on retaining their won seats, discussions on seat-sharing have become more complicated.
