Old Pension Restoration: The State Employees Joint Council and the Diploma Engineers Association held a meeting at the Diploma Engineers Association building in the Public Works Department on Saturday to discuss the restoration of the old pension scheme. This comes after the announcement of a hunger strike starting from January 8, with employees making it clear that they are in full support of the 100% strike.
Government criticized for not restoring the old pension system: Shiv Gopal Mishra, National General Secretary of the Railway Men’s Union, stated that the government is showing stubbornness by not reinstating the old pension system. Employees across the country feel cheated by the NPS system.
Warning of a strike: Employees from the central and state governments have made it clear through public opinion surveys that they are in full support of a complete strike. If the government does not fulfill the demand for the restoration of the old pension system in a timely manner, the railway wheel will be jammed once again, just like in 1974.
Appeal to the government: Hari Kishore Tiwari, President of the State Employees Joint Council, said that the government should change its stubborn attitude, otherwise it will be difficult to stop the strike. Employees and teachers in the state are continuously protesting, submitting memorandums, and holding torch processions to draw the government’s attention towards the restoration of the old pension system.
Hunger strike for restoration of old pension system: The government should put an end to testing the patience of its employees and teachers. An eight-day hunger strike will be conducted to demand the restoration of the old pension system. The hunger strike will take place from 9 am to 5 pm.
पुरानी पेंशन योजना को बहाल करने के लिए राज्य कर्मचारी संयुक्त परिषद और डिप्लोमा इंजीनियर्स एसोसिएशन ने शनिवार को बैठक आयोजित की। इसके पहले कर्मिकों ने जनमत संग्रह किया और भूख हड़ताल की चेतावनी भी दी है। रेलवे मेंस यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय महासचिव ने सरकार को हठधर्मिता का आरोप लगाया है। कर्मचारियों ने भी जनमत संग्रह कराकर यह संकेत दिया है कि वे पूरी तरह से हड़ताल के पक्ष में हैं। यदि सरकार समय पर पेंशन योजना को बहाल नहीं करती है तो रेल का चक्का फिर से जाम हो सकता है। इसके अलावा कर्मचारी और शिक्षक धरना, ज्ञापन और मशाल जुलूस करके सरकार को ध्यान आकर्षित करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं। भूख हड़ताल सुबह 9 बजे से शाम 5 बजे तक होगी।
