MP Ajay Nishad has raised the issue of ticket allocation and suggested that the decision should be made by the top leadership of the BJP. In the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha constituency, BJP MLA Kedar Prasad Gupta has challenged his own party’s MP Ajay Nishad for the ticket. He has based his claim to contest the elections on the basis of caste calculations. In response, MP Ajay Nishad stated that everyone desires to contest elections and it is up to the top leadership to decide who will contest from here.

Muzaffarpur is an important constituency in North Bihar, and several new candidates are vying for the seat. However, the current BJP MLA Kedar Gupta is the subject of much discussion. Going against his own party’s MP, he stated that the party has a significant number of Kanu-Halwai caste members. He believes that they should be given representation. He also mentioned the need for a decision to be made by the top leadership and stated that BJP is a party that believes in “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with Everyone, Development for Everyone).
BJP MLA Kedar Prasad Gupta mentioned that he has been involved in politics from being a village head to becoming an MLA. He has contested in three assembly elections and has remained dedicated to the party. Now, he wants to contest the elections from the Muzaffarpur Lok Sabha seat. He highlighted the numerical strength of the Kanu-Halwai caste from the Vaishya community, which is more than 2.82% according to the latest census. Despite having such a population, not a single ticket has been given to them in the Lok Sabha. However, in the assembly, only two seats, Motihari and Khudni, have been given to Pramod Gupta and Kedar Gupta respectively. As the caste with the highest number in the Vaishya community, their strong presence and support from all sections of society make them eligible for candidacy.
MP Ajay Nishad stated that everyone desires to contest elections, and if Kedar Prasad Gupta is also presenting his candidacy, it is not a problem for them. The top leadership will decide who will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Whether it is the Lok Sabha or the assembly, the top leadership determines the decision for each seat.
