Heading 1: Increase in Cost of Hajj
In the past five years, the cost of going on Hajj has significantly increased. As a result, the number of people going on Hajj has decreased. Starting from the year 2023, each person has to spend four lakh rupees to go on Hajj. Previously, more than 300 people used to go on the pilgrimage each year. However, this year, only around 100 people have applied for Hajj online. The deadline to apply for Hajj is set for Monday.
Heading 2: Rising Expenses for Hajj
According to information received, in the year 2018, approximately 265,000 rupees were spent on the Hajj pilgrimage. People who had previously performed Hajj mentioned that the cost had increased. Each individual now has to spend four lakh rupees for the pilgrimage, in addition to their personal expenses. The number of people going on Hajj was as follows: around 315 in 2018, around 300 in 2019, no Hajj in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, around 110 in 2021, around 280 in 2022, and 333 in 2023.
Heading 3: Importance of Hajj
Although the cost of Hajj has increased, it is still considered one of the most important pillars of Islam. Therefore, it is necessary for individuals to go on the Hajj pilgrimage. The Hajj Committee of India has issued a circular stating that people over the age of 70 can also go on the pilgrimage with a companion. Additionally, the embarkation point has been restored, allowing pilgrims from the state to fly for Hajj from the airport. Bihar was allocated a quota of 14,042 pilgrims last year, out of a total quota of 140,000 pilgrims for the country.
Heading 4: Installments and Exchange Counters
Pilgrims from Bihar going on the Hajj 2023 journey will have to spend between 410,000 and 435,000 rupees. The first installment for Hajj will be 81,500 rupees, the second installment will be 170,000 rupees, and information about the third installment will be provided after the flight schedule for Bihar is announced. To ease the financial burden, money exchange counters will be available for pilgrims.
भागलपुर में पांच साल में हज यात्रा के लिए खर्च महंगा हो गया है और इसके कारण जाने वालों की संख्या में कमी आ रही है। अब प्रति व्यक्ति को हज यात्रा के लिए चार लाख रुपये खर्च करना पड़ रहा है। पिछले साल के मुकाबले इस साल केवल 100 के करीब लोगों ने हज यात्रा के लिए आवेदन किया है। वर्ष 2023 से आवेदन करने की अंतिम तिथि सोमवार निर्धारित है। इसके अलावा खुद के खर्च के लिए भी अलग से राशि खर्च करनी पड़ती है। यह जानकारी देते हुए हज कर चुके हाजियों ने बताया कि वर्ष 2018 में दो लाख 65 हजार रुपये का खर्च आता था। इस साल से हज यात्रा और भी महंगी हो गई है और अब प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को चार लाख रुपये खर्च करना पड़ता है। हज यात्रा के लिए आवेदन कर चुके कई लोगों ने इस बात की जानकारी दी है कि हज यात्रा के लिए जाना बहुत जरूरी है, और इसलिए इसके लिए ज्यादा खर्च करना पड़ रहा है। हाजियों के अलावा 70 वर्ष से अधिक उम्र के लोग भी अब हज यात्रा पर जा सकते हैं, और इस बार गया इंबार्केशन प्वाइंट को भी रिस्टोर कर दिया गया है जिससे राज्य के हज यात्री गया एयरपोर्ट से भी उड़ान भर सकेंगे। बिहार को पिछले साल 14,042 यात्रियों का कोटा मिला था।
