The deceased, identified as Santosh Kumar, was in love with a Muslim girl from the neighboring village of Malpur. They had been in a relationship for the past three years and were deeply in love. However, due to the boy’s job in Delhi, they had limited opportunities to meet. Three months ago, the girl went to Delhi and they got married in a temple before having a court marriage.

Girl’s Family Accuses Boy’s Family of Abduction, Police Intervenes

The girl’s family filed a case of abduction against the boy and his family at the Patepur police station. After the case was registered, the police started pressurizing the boy’s family, which led to the couple returning to their village ten days ago. When the boy’s family presented the girl in front of the police, a statement under Section 164 was recorded. Meanwhile, the boy’s family began searching for their son and discovered that his body had been hung from a tree in a garden. Angry locals blocked the main road in Bahura, demanding the arrest of the culprits and action against SI Hasan Sardar of the Patepur police station.
