Namma Yatri Launches Auto Service in Delhi

Namma Yatri, a Bangalore-based firm, is set to give stiff competition to existing auto service aggregators such as OLA, Uber, and Rapido in Delhi. Namma Yatri has officially commenced its auto service in Delhi and claims to be a community-based ride booking app that is a part of the ONDC network. The highlight of this app is that it works with zero commission apps, meaning the driver doesn’t have to pay any fee to the app apart from the platform charge. The money booked by riders for the auto goes directly into the driver’s pocket.

Commendation by Delhi’s Transport Minister

During the launch event, Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot was present and appreciated Namma Yatri for empowering drivers and improving the transportation system in the city. Namma Yatri has already been offering its service in seven cities of the country including Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Mysore and others. The company has now expanded its service to Delhi with financial assistance from JustPay, a leading payment company in the country.

Zero Commission for Drivers

This app provides zero commission to the drivers, which means they don’t have to pay any extra commission to the app on the ride. However, if more than one ride is taken, the driver has to pay a platform charge of 25 rupees per day. Additionally, the more money the rider books, the more money the driver will receive.

Future Plans of Namma Yatri

Over 10,000 drivers in Delhi have already joined the app. There are plans to add more than 50,000 drivers in the next three months. In the near future, the company will also offer ticketing for metro and bus services. The company claims that it will be focusing more on public transportation in the coming years.
