On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Bhagalpur dropped to 14.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature rose to 9.5 degrees Celsius. Banka and Munger districts are also experiencing cold weather. According to the weather department, the cold wave in Bhagalpur and surrounding districts is expected to subside from January 18 to 20, with a possible increase in maximum temperature from January 21. During this period, there is a possibility of fog from evening to morning, with an average wind speed of two to five kilometers per hour. Light clouds may also be seen in the sky on January 18 and 19. Farmers are advised to avoid any kind of exposure to the strong winds during this time and to stop irrigation in wheat and vegetable crops. There is still a possibility of late blight disease in potato crops, so continuous monitoring is recommended.

The cold wave in Bihar seems to be persisting, with the weather department predicting continued fog and clouds in Banka district. The cold weather has disrupted daily life, with people forced to stay indoors. The markets are also becoming empty due to the bad weather, and shops are closing early. The maximum temperature in Banka is currently 14 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is four degrees Celsius. The weather department has warned that the cold wave will continue for the next 48 hours. In Munger, the situation is no different, with an increasing cold wave expected in the coming days. The weather department has clarified that there is no possibility of an increase in temperature for the next five days, and there may even be a further decrease in the minimum temperature. Thursday is expected to be a cold day with dense fog in Munger, with the maximum temperature around 18 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature around eight degrees Celsius. The wind is expected to blow at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour.

The weather in Jamui district of Bihar has also witnessed a continuous decrease in temperature. The cold winds have made the weather even colder. In the morning, there has been a drop in temperature, and both urban and rural areas are facing difficulties due to the cold winds and foggy conditions. People are suffering from the cold in Jamui, with both urban and rural areas affected.
