Accident on Gaya-Tikari main road: Two people, including the driver of an auto-rickshaw and a passenger, were killed in a collision between a highway truck and an auto-rickshaw on the main road in Gaya-Tikari. The collision was so powerful that the auto-rickshaw was completely damaged. After the accident, the truck driver fled the scene. The police from the nearby police station took control of the bodies and sent them to the hospital for postmortem. The incident occurred on Thursday morning at around 9:30 am.
Local residents captured the highway truck: After the accident, local residents managed to catch the highway truck. However, taking advantage of the situation, the truck driver managed to escape. The locals then informed the Chandauti police station. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and took control of the bodies, sending them to the Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The truck was seized by the police and taken to the police station. The incident caused a traffic jam, and the police had to intervene to clear the road.
Collision between the truck and auto due to fog: According to Chandauti police station in-charge Ranvijay Kumar Singh, the collision between the truck and auto-rickshaw occurred due to heavy fog near Kewali village. The passenger and the auto-rickshaw driver died on the spot. Their bodies were taken to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The identity of the auto-rickshaw driver has been confirmed as Gaurav Mishra, a resident of Tikari area. The passenger’s identity has been identified as Bansal Singh, a 50-year-old resident of Baddki Della Mohalla in Della police station area. The families of the deceased have been informed about the incident. The identification of the truck driver is currently underway, and once identified, he will be arrested.
