During a program commemorating the martyrdom of freedom fighter Abdul Kayyum Ansari in the Dihuri Panchayat of Gaya district, the stage collapsed. Many people, including former MP Ali Anwar Ansari, were present on the stage. A local leader began his speech on the stage, but during his address, he started making controversial statements about the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22nd. This led to the stage collapsing, causing injuries to Ali Anwar Ansari and several others.

The incident was captured on video by a local person present at the event, which quickly went viral. BJP leaders also started making statements in response to the viral video.

Former district president of the BJP in Gaya, Dhanraj Sharma, stated that the name of Lord Ram is not for political gain. It is the pride of Hinduism and the nation, which was destroyed by the Mughals. After 526 years of struggle, the Supreme Court has given the decision to construct a grand and divine temple. The foundation stone laying ceremony will take place on January 22nd, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All Indians should participate in this ceremony and express their happiness, rather than opposing it. BJP leaders opposing the incident include district vice president Ajay Kumar, district secretary Gopal Prasad Yadav, and district minister Dharmendra Yadav.
