Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Begusarai district in Bihar, discusses the employment situation in the area. Despite job camps being organized by private companies to provide employment opportunities to the local youth, many people in Begusarai are not willing to improve themselves. This was evident in a recent incident at the Begusarai employment office, where only 17 out of 100 candidates were selected for the position of Credit Access Gramin Center Manager in a banking company. The candidates lacked proper language skills, dressing sense, and resume preparation knowledge, resulting in their rejection.

Milan Kumar, the representative of Credit Access Gramin, a banking company, mentioned that they had planned to select 100 center managers. The applicants were required to be between the ages of 19 and 29 and have completed their intermediate education. However, the language skills of the candidates who appeared for the interview were poor, and they were unaware of the importance of dressing sense and resume preparation. Consequently, most of the candidates were rejected, with specific emphasis on maintaining proper language skills. Out of the approximately 100 candidates who appeared for the interview, only 17 were selected and will be sent for training next month.

To provide guidance and assistance to unemployed youth, the district employment officer, Rana Amitesh, informed that JSA Rahul Kumar, VPI Pankaj Kumar, and DSEI Kundan Kumar work at the employment office from 10 am to 4 pm daily. They offer guidance regarding the educational path, the type of job desired, and suggest suitable employment options. Additionally, the employment office also provides free access to a library with relevant books.

Overall, despite efforts to provide employment opportunities to the youth in Begusarai district through job camps and guidance from the employment office, there is a lack of improvement and readiness among the local population.
