Mahindra’s New Electric Vehicle: XUV.e8

Mahindra is aiming to expand and improve its list of electric vehicles, for which the company has recently launched the XUV400 Pro. Much like other companies, Mahindra also wants to advance in the electric sector and is putting a strong focus on it. Recently, we have seen the testing prototype of Mahindra’s upcoming XUV.e8. Prototype Spotted

Recently spotted prototype of Mahindra’s electric SUV is based on the XUV700 model. From the glimpses in the images, it appears to have a design similar to that of the XUV700. However, it has completely changed in some aspects. The new car by Mahindra features alloy wheels and a completely redesigned bumper. However, the design of the rear end is not visible in the images. The picture of the electric car shows a new air dam and elongated holes for the headlamps.

Based on This Platform

Mahindra’s upcoming XUV.e8 is ready to be the first electric vehicle built on the innovative INGLO platform. The INGLO platform is versatile and can best work for vehicles ranging from 4.3 meters to 5 meters.

Launch Date and Battery Pack

Currently, the company has not announced the launching date of the car. However, it is rumored that Mahindra’s electric vehicle will be launched by December this year. It is expected that the car can be presented with two types of electric battery packs, named Blade and Prismatic.

The capacity of these batteries could be between 60 to 80 kilowatts and you will be given a 175-kilowatt fast charging option to charge them. The battery provided in this car will charge more than 80% in 30 minutes.
