The issue of which law will prevail in Patna district, whose orders will be followed, and whose authority will be respected is causing confusion in the government primary and middle schools. The Director of Secondary Education had ordered the District Education Officer in Patna to open primary and middle schools, referring to the orders of the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department. The team of “Amar Ujala” conducted an inspection of schools in Patna on Tuesday morning amidst dense fog and a temperature of around nine degrees Celsius, and was surprised to find that there was activity in the schools but no students. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the teachers had followed the orders of the District Education Officer and arrived at the school premises in the freezing cold. On the other hand, the students had followed the orders of the Patna District Magistrate. Some parents mentioned that sending children to school in such extreme cold could pose a significant risk to their health, as their well-being is essential for them to be able to study.
