14-year-old student Ankit Kumar, who came to stay at a private lodge in the Urdu Bazaar area of Tatapur police station in Bhagalpur, committed suicide three days ago. Ankit Kumar, a resident of Kurmichak village in Khalgaon, is the son of Rakesh Kumar Singh, who works as a laborer in Chandigarh. The incident is said to have occurred between 7:30 am and 10 am on Wednesday. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the scene and initiated an investigation. An FSL team also arrived at the scene to investigate.
After the incident that took place at Surya Bhavan Lodge in Urdu Bazaar, DSP Ajay Kumar Chaudhary, trainee IPS Abhinav Kumar, and trainee DSP from Tatapur Police Station reached the scene. However, the body had already been removed from the noose and laid on the bed by the deceased’s brother. The police then locked the room after arriving at the scene. The FSL team arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation.
Ankit’s elder brother Ayush revealed that Ankit did not study or write at home. His matriculation exams were scheduled to start on February 15. He had come to the lodge in Urdu Bazaar to do self-study and ask his brother for help. After coming to Bhagalpur, Ankit initially stayed with his maternal uncle Gunjan, who lives in the lodge. From there, he returned to his brother’s lodge at 8 pm on Tuesday. Ayush stated that after returning at night, both of them cooked and then Ankit went to sleep. Due to staying up late to make notes, he was late in going to coaching in the morning. Ankit woke him up at 7:20 am. After that, he only splashed water on his face and went to coaching. While studying, he felt the need to use the bathroom, so he returned to his room at around 10:30 am, but the room was locked from the inside.
Ayush further explained that after knocking and banging on the door for a long time, when Ankit did not open the door, he kicked the door with his feet. This caused the door to open. Inside the room, he found his brother hanging from a makeshift noose made of a towel. Although there was a possibility of him being alive, Ayush immediately removed his brother from the noose. However, by then, he had already died. After that, he informed the lodge owner and other students living in nearby rooms. Then the police also arrived at the scene.
भागलपुर के तातारपुर थाना क्षेत्र के उर्दू बाजार में स्थित निजी लॉज में तीन दिन पहले रहने आए 14 वर्षीय छात्र ने आत्महत्या कर ली। इस घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची है और जांच में जुट गयी है। मृत छात्र का नाम अंकित कुमार है और उनके पिता चंडीगढ़ में मजदूरी करते हैं। घटना के बाद सिटी डीएसपी अजय कुमार चौधरी, प्रशिक्षु आईपीएस अभिनव कुमार और प्रशिक्षु डीएसपी सहित तातारपुर थाना की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची है। शव को फंदे से उतारकर उसके भाई ने बिस्तर पर रख दिया था। अंकित घर पर पढ़ता लिखता नहीं था और उसकी मैट्रिक की परीक्षा भी थी। इसलिए वह उर्दू बाजार के लॉज में अपने भाई के पास रहने गया था। उसे रात में देर रात तक नोट्स बनाने की वजह से कोचिंग जाने में देर हो गई थी और उसे सुबह कोचिंग के लिए जाना था। रात में देर रात तक नोट्स बनाने के बाद जब उसे शौच लगी तो उसे कमरे में जाने की इजाजत नहीं मिली। उसके भाई ने दरवाजा पीटा और जब दरवाजा नहीं खुला तो उसने उसे फंदे से उतारा और बाद में उसे फंदे से बांध दिया। इसके बाद उसने अन्य छात्रों को इसकी सूचना दी और पुलिस को भी बताया।
