Launch of Citroen eC3 Variant in India

The French auto giant Citroen has launched a new variant of its only electric car in India, the eC3. The electric hatchback is now available in the Shine variant. The Citroen eC3 can also be purchased in the Live and Feel variant options. We will share more details about the trims and variants.

Details of Citroen eC3 Trims and Variants

The Citroen eC3 Shine variant has been introduced in three different packs. In addition to the base version, the car manufacturer is also offering the EV with a Shine Vibe pack and a Vibe pack with a dual-tone color theme. The Shine variant is now the top variant in all eC3 variants. The price of the eC3 Shine variant starts from 13.19 lakh rupees and goes up to 13.50 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

New Features in the Shine Variant

The Citroen eC3 Shine variant is being introduced with several new features, including electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, a rear wiper and washer, a rear defogger, and a leather steering wheel. This variant of the electric hatchback will also be equipped with the MyCitroen Connect app, which will offer 35 smart connectivity features.

Price, Battery and Motor

Last year, Citroen launched the eC3 in India with a starting price of 11.61 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The price of this electric vehicle, which was only introduced in the Live and Feel variants, was initially 13 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). These compete with some variants of the newly launched Tata Punch EV, as well as the Tata Tiago EV. The Citroen eC3 comes with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, providing an ARAI-certified range of 320 km. The electric motor generates a maximum power of 57 PS and a peak torque of 143 Nm. The eC3 can be driven at a top speed of 107 km/h.

Charging and Top Speed

The Citroen eC3 can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in just 6.8 seconds. It also supports DC fast charging, which helps to recharge the EV between 10-80 percent in 57 minutes. Using a 15A power socket, it will take 10.5 hours to charge the battery pack from 10 to 100 percent.
