The cold wave is the result of the northwesterly winds blowing through the state. Currently, the cold weather will continue, and dense fog may also persist in some areas. Sunlight during the day will provide some relief to the people. On Saturday, the maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 21.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature increased slightly to 8.5 degrees Celsius.

The sudden deterioration in the health of two students during the Faokaniya examination in Chakia, Motihari, caused chaos at the examination center on Saturday. The principal of the school, Mrigendra Kumar, stated that the health of two students suddenly deteriorated. The affected students are Rukhsar from Ramdih and Shahnaaz from Madhuban. Rukhsar’s health had also deteriorated on Thursday due to stomach pain, and she was unable to take the second shift examination. Her health worsened again today, and primary treatment was administered before informing her family. Shahnaaz from Madhuban also complained of feeling cold and abdominal pain. Her family is coming to take her home.

The death of a teacher in Gorasahan, a village in the Gorasahan police station area of Champaran district, occurred while on the way to school. Local residents claim that he died due to the cold. The deceased, Malik Ram Nimoia, was working as a Block Education Officer (BEO) at the West Panchayat High School in Dhumanagar. The incident took place on Saturday morning. BEO Kalpana Kumari explained that the teacher fell from his bike due to excessive cold while on his way to school on Saturday, resulting in his death.
