Murder in DDA Park: Investigation Begins
On the morning of January 19th, the Kashmiri Gate police station receives information that a young man’s body has been found in the DDA Park at Mori Gate. A police team is sent to the crime scene to investigate. Upon arrival, the police find the body of an unknown youth with a cut mark above his eye and blood all over his body. After the inspection by the Crime and FSL team, the body is sent to the vegetable market mortuary.
Identification of the Deceased
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police in the North District, Manoj Kumar Meena, an investigation team led by Inspector Investigation Santosh Kumar Gupta is formed due to the seriousness of the crime. Aditya, an AASI from the Crime Branch, is also added to the team for technical assistance. During the investigation, the police team examines the CCTV footage from almost all the cameras between Mori Gate and Khoya Mandi, as well as interviews over 100 people in the area. After tireless efforts, the deceased is identified as Pramod Kumar Shukla, also known as Guddu, from Rudrapura village in Jalon district, Uttar Pradesh.
Confession and Arrest
During the questioning, the suspect Rajesh reveals that he and the deceased, Pramod, were friends and lived together in the Rain Basera near Khoya Mandi. Rajesh claims that Pramod had been pressuring him to engage in unnatural sexual activities, which had been causing him distress. On the night of January 17th, after drinking beer together in the DDA Park behind Khoya Mandi, Pramod once again tried to force Rajesh into such activities. In a fit of rage, Rajesh killed Pramod. After the murder, Rajesh took Pramod’s mobile and 18,500 rupees from his pocket and fled to the Old Delhi Railway Station. He sold the mobile for 400 rupees and traveled to Amritsar, where he bought a new mobile with the money he found in Rajesh’s pocket. After staying in Amritsar for a few days, he left for Patna, Bihar.
एक युवक की हत्या की जानकारी मिलने के बाद कश्मीरी गेट पुलिस स्टेशन की टीम मौके पर पहुंची और वहां पर एक अज्ञात युवक की लाश मिली। मृतक के शरीर पर खून लगा था और उसके आंख के ऊपर कटे का निशान था। पुलिस ने वृहदारण के बाद मृतक की पहचान की गई और उसके दोस्त राजेश को हत्या के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया। राजेश ने प्रमोद को अप्राकृतिक यौन संबंध बनाने का दबाव डाला था और प्रमोद की हत्या कर दी थी। उसने प्रमोद के जेब से मोबाइल और पैसे चुराए और दिल्ली से अमृतसर तक भाग गया। बाद में वह पटना के लिए रवाना हुआ था।
