Vishal Kumar, a writer from Chhapra, Bihar, talks about the popularity of the dish “litti-chokha” in the region. Litti-chokha is a dish that can be easily found and enjoyed everywhere in Bihar. The taste of litti-chokha varies in different parts of Bihar, with different variations of the dish being served. In Chhapra, for example, litti is served with chicken, which adds a delicious flavor to the dish.

If you are in Chhapra and want to enjoy the combination of litti and chicken, you need to visit Thana Road in the city. There are more than a dozen shops here where you can taste the joy of litti with chicken. However, people have to wait for their turn to enjoy this delicacy. The plate, which costs 70 rupees, includes two pieces of litti and two pieces of chicken. The chicken is prepared with homemade spices, while the litti is made from pure gram flour.

Chhapra’s Thana Chowk area is famous for its litti and chicken. There are more than a dozen shops that sell this dish on a daily basis, and cleanliness is given special attention in this area. The shops are always crowded with customers, and no one sells less than five thousand rupees worth of litti and chicken every day. The sale of chicken alone helps support the livelihood of families in the area. This Thana Chowk area has become famous for its litti and chicken not only in Chhapra but also in the surrounding districts.
