Rapid Rail Operations on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut project have commenced from Sahibabad to Duhai pipeline semi-high-speed rapid train (Namo Bharat). However, until this line is connected to Delhi, people will not be able to avail its benefits. Work is progressing rapidly to connect Sahibabad to Anand Vihar through the rapid rail. According to officials, the metro from Sahibabad to Duhai is currently running up to Anand Vihar in Delhi. The next step is the processing of the red rail from Sarai Kale Khan. It is estimated that by June 2025, the rapid rail engine from Delhi to Meerut will also come to a halt.

Completion of Tunnel Work:
A large number of people commute from Ghaziabad to Delhi for work. The operation of the Namo Bharat train from Anand Vihar in Delhi to Sahibabad will provide significant relief to such individuals. The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has been built to connect Anand Vihar to Colorado Metro Station. The tunnel for this stretch was completed around four months ago.

Overbridge and Station Progress:
The rapid rail overbridge from Oxford Metro Station to Sahibabad is already prepared. According to recruiters, the construction of the recruitment station in Anand Vihar is about 75% complete, with the aim to have the station ready before Holi. There is a tunnel from Anand Vihar to Visatpur, extending towards Sarai Kale Khan, and the train will run on an overbridge after Sarai Kale Khan.

82.5 Kilometer Corridor:
The Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut project of recruiters is an 82.15 kilometer long corridor. It is a semi-high-speed rail transport venture and one of the three rapid rail showrooms of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation. Once completed, the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will run at a speed of 160 km/h, reducing travel time from Delhi to Meerut to 60 minutes. The project includes stations at Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Mohammadnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, Meerut South, Paratapur, Meerut North, Modipuram, and Modipuram Station. The project cost is approximately 3,749 million dollars.

First Phase Covers 17 Kilometers:
In the first phase, the red rail is operating on a 17-kilometer track, including stations at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Namo Bharat train on this section last year. It covers a distance of 17 kilometers in just 12 minutes. Currently, the minimum fare is set at 20 rupees and the maximum fare at 50 rupees.
