IISc Bangalore starts GATE 2024 exam

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is commencing the GATE 2024 exam from today, that is, 3rd February. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 will be conducted between 3rd and 11th February 2024. The exam will be held in two sessions, with the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Admit card released for GATE 2024 exam

The admit card for the GATE 2024 exam has been released on gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates are required to bring the admit card to the exam center. In addition to the admit card, GATE 2024 candidates must also carry a valid photo identification proof to the exam center. Last year, approximately 6.7 lakh candidates registered for GATE, out of which around 5.17 lakh candidates appeared for the exam at over 500 centers across the country. Around 18% of the candidates cleared the exam.

MCQ and other question types in GATE 2024 exam

The GATE 2024 exam will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQ), multiple-select questions (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. In MCQs, only one of the four options is correct. In MSQs, one or more options can be correct, and for NAT questions, candidates need to provide the answer using the virtual keypad. Candidates will only be allowed to use an on-screen virtual calculator for their calculations.

भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान (IISc) बैंगलोर आज से GATE 2024 की परीक्षा शुरू कर रहा है। इस परीक्षा को 3 से 11 फरवरी, 2024 के बीच आयोजित किया जाएगा और यह दो सेशनों में होगी। परीक्षा केंद्र पर जाने के लिए उम्मीदवारों को अपने एडमिट कार्ड के साथ वैध फोटो पहचान पत्र भी ले जाना होगा। पिछले साल GATE के लिए 6.70 लाख उम्मीदवारों ने पंजीकरण कराया था और 18 प्रतिशत उम्मीदवारों ने परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की थी। GATE 2024 में MCQ प्रश्नों के साथ-साथ MSQ और NAT प्रश्न भी होंगे और उम्मीदवारों को ऑन-स्क्रीन वर्चुअल कैलकुलेटर का उपयोग करने की अनुमति होगी।
