In the Brahmpura police station of Muzaffarpur district, an accused extracted a personal photo of a woman from her Instagram account. The accused then edited it and made it go viral. Not only that, but the accused also demanded a ransom of 5 lakh rupees to remove the said photo and video. After this incident, the scared woman lodged a complaint with the police. Following this, the police have registered an FIR against the accused and started further action.

Family terrified and shocked

In the case, the victim stated that a fake ID was created in her name on Instagram in the past 10 days. Her personal photo was edited to make it explicit and then it was viralized on social media. The victim mentioned that her family has been terrified and shocked since this incident.

Police registered the case

After receiving information about the case, the in-charge of the upper police station, Pappu Kumar, stated that a woman created his Instagram ID and viralized the photo. Along with this, the woman extracted the photo from his personal ID and made a video that was then viralized on social media. A primary investigation has been registered in this case.
