Rajasthan News: Allocation for North Western Railway in the Budget Increased to 9,714.28 Crores
In the Lok Sabha, an allocation of 9,714.28 crores has been made for the North Western Railway for railway projects, passenger facilities, and basic infrastructure in the presented budget. This is an increase of 12.47 crores from the previous year’s allocation of 8,636.85 crores. The budget includes 1,438 crores for new lines, 129 crores for gauge conversion, and 925 crores for doubling.
Focus on Strengthening Railway Infrastructure and Passenger Facilities for North Western Railway
Special attention has been given to strengthening railway infrastructure, railway safety, and passenger facilities for the North Western Railway. The budget for the year 2024-25 includes allocations for the construction of new railway lines, doubling, and passenger facilities, track maintenance, construction of road over bridges for road safety, and construction of road under bridges, among others.
Increased Allocation for Basic Infrastructure Development in the Budget
This year’s budget has allocated more than 1,625 crores for the development of basic infrastructure. This includes the modernization of railway tracks, ROB and RUB, signaling systems, telecommunication, bridge construction, and expansion of passenger facilities. The highest allocation of 700 crores has been made for track modernization, along with 558 crores for ROB and RUB, 261 crores for signaling and telecommunication, 52 crores for bridge construction, and 28 crores for basic infrastructure development at level crossings. Additionally, 750 crores will be spent on passenger facilities, 206 crores for transportation facilities, 26 crores for rolling stock, and 31 crores for employee welfare.
New Railway Lines and Doubling of Existing Lines in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, 8 new railway lines will be laid and 7 railway lines will be doubled. The budget includes 300 crores for the 92.67 km Dausa-Gangapur City line, 176.47 crores for the 145 km Ratlam-Dungarpur line, 145 crores for the Jaipur-Kota line, 59 km for the Pushkar-Medta line, 145 km for the Ajmer-Naseerabad line, 89.39 km for the Ratanangarh-Abu Road line, 48.30 km for the Runimach-Badi Sadri line, and 25 km for the Rugudha Thathana-Methri line. Additionally, the Fuleradegana line will be doubled, along with the Degana-Rai Udyana line, Sawai Madhopur line, Jaipur-Chittorgarh line, Sawai Madhopur Bypass line, Ruru Ratanagarh line, and Kathuwas-Narnaul line.
लोकसभा में पेश बजट में उत्तर पश्चिम रेलवे को रेलवे परियोजनाओं, यात्री सुविधाओं और बुनियादी ढांचे के लिए 9,714.28 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं। बजट में नई लाइनों के लिए 1438 करोड़ रुपये, गेज परिवर्तन के लिए 129 करोड़ रुपये और दोहरीकरण के लिए 925 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं। राजस्थान में 8 नई रेलवे लाइनें बिछाई जाएंगी और 7 रेलवे लाइनों का दोहरीकरण किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा भी रेलवे के बुनियादी ढांचे, रेलवे सुरक्षा और यात्री सुविधाओं को मजबूत करने के लिए ध्यान दिया गया है।
