Renault-Nissan Alliance Unveils Ambitious Strategy in India
Earlier this year, the Renault-Nissan alliance unveiled an ambitious strategy for the development, production, sale, and export of six new models in India. The comprehensive plan includes four SUVs, featuring the highly anticipated new generation Renault Duster in 5★and 7-seater configurations, as well as an SUV based on the Duster platform from Nissan. Many people are aware of the launch timeline for the Renault Duster, the details of which are provided below.
Launch in Portugal Next Year
In addition to the new generation Renault Duster and Nissan’s new SUV, the lineup also includes two A-segment electric vehicles. Based on the acclaimed Dacia Bigster SUV, the upcoming Renault Duster is set for its global debut in Portugal on November 29, 2023, to be subsequently launched in the Indian market by 2025. Overall, the upcoming Renault Duster, named “Dacia”, will arrive in India by 2025.
Design and Look?
The new Duster is developed on the new CMF-B modular platform by Renault unit Dacia. The French car manufacturer is also expected to re-launch the Duster SUV in India. However, it may take a few more years to hit the Indian roads. The company has not yet provided any official information on this.
Launched in India in 2012
The Renault Duster was first launched in India in 2012 as a compact SUV. It was one of the first models in its category, which did not see models like Hyundai Creta and others for a few years. However, due to falling sales figures, Renault had to discontinue the Duster SUV last year in April after being on sale for the past 10 years.
