New Railway Line: A new railway line will be laid in Ajmer district of Rajasthan under Section III, with a budget allocation of INR 200 crore 3 lakh. This budget is now set to fulfill the long-standing dream of Tonk district. After the railway budget, Tonk will be directly connected to Ajmer and Sawai Madhopur through a railway line. Additionally, budgets have also been allocated for the construction of railway lines from Pushkar-Medta, Ajmer-Kota, and Ajmer-Sawai Madhopur via Tonk.

Budget Allocation: The Public Relations Officer of Ajmer Railway Board, Ashok Chauhan, stated that a budget of INR 200 crore 3 lakh has been allocated for the construction of a new railway line in Ajmer division. This includes INR 50 crore 1 lakh for a 59 km long track between Ajmer-Medta, INR 50 crore 1 lakh for Ajmer-Kota via Nasirabad, and INR 50 crore 1 lakh for a 145 km long track between Jalhandari and Ajmer-Sawai Madhopur via Nasirabad. Additionally, INR 100 crore 1 lakh has been allocated for the construction of a 165 km long railway line between Sawai Madhopur and Ajmer.

Tonk Railway Line: Tonk is currently deprived of a railway line. The demand for connecting Tonk with a railway line has been raised for quite some time. With the announcement of the new railway budget, the dream of Tonk being connected to the Ajmer-Sawai Madhopur railway line is coming true. Tonk will finally be connected through a railway line. It is worth mentioning that there have been protests for several years to connect Tonk with a railway line, but due to politics, it was kept deprived of rail connectivity.

Ajmer-Kota Direct Line: There is currently no direct railway line between Ajmer and Kota. As a result, trains run via Chittorgarh between Ajmer and Kota, resulting in longer distances and increased travel time. However, after the new railway line is laid, Ajmer-Kota will be directly connected. The railway line will pass through Nasirabad and Jalhandari. This will significantly reduce the distance and travel time between Ajmer and Kota.

Proposed Ajmer-Kota Railway Project: The proposed Ajmer-Kota new railway project may have 15 railway stations, including Loharwada, Jaswantpura, Sarana, Goyala, Sarvar, Soorajpura, Kaalera Krishna Gopal, Bajata, Devali, Luharikalām, Gokulpura, Narwa, Motipura, and Jalhandari. Arrangements will be made for passengers to board at these stations. During this period, the construction of 14 railway yards will also be undertaken. According to Ashok Chauhan, the Public Relations Officer, in the coming days, the railway stations will be part of the new railway line. The announcement of details will be made after receiving information.
