Stations such as Abu Road, Ajmer, Alwar, Asalpur, Jobner, Balotra, Bandikui, Baran, Barmeer, Bayavar, Bharatpur, Bhawanimandi, Bhilwara, Vijaynagar, Bikaner, Bundi, Chanderiya, Chhabra, Chittorgarh Junction, Churu, Ratania Kala, Deshnok, Degana, Didwana, Falna, Fatehnagar, Gandhi Nagar Jaipur, Fatehpur Shekhawati, and Gangapur City will be made world-class. This has sparked a lot of discussions.
HTML Subheading 3: Two Phases of Upgrading Railway Stations
Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railways, stated that under the Amrit Bharat Yojana, the upgrade of the 82 railway stations in Rajasthan is being carried out in two phases. The buildings of major stations like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer will be completely revamped to become world-class stations. All facilities will be provided, including a large cafeteria. Travelers will also experience international standards.
HTML Subheading 4: Time and Cost of Station Upgrades
Ashwini Vaishnav mentioned that the station buildings will be two to three stories high. In the second phase, even grade C and grade B stations will be upgraded. Rajasthan has a total of 586 railway stations, so it will take time for all the stations to be transformed. For example, it will take at least three years for Jaipur to be completed, as it is estimated to cost around 300 to 400 crores. The work on these stations has already begun.
