Delhi-Mumbai DND Expressway: Preparation is underway to reopen traffic on the Delhi-Mumbai DND Expressway by May. After inspecting the project on Wednesday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari indicated that the pending work would be completed soon. The minister arrived in Sector-37, Faridabad in the morning, where he held a review meeting with officials from the National Highway Authority. He then boarded a bus to inspect the project in Delhi, accompanied by Union Minister Krishnapal Gurjar.
83% of the work in the city has been completed. The construction of the Delhi-Mumbai DND Expressway is being carried out in three phases. The first phase is from Delhi to Jaitpur, and the second phase is from Jaitpur to Faridabad. In addition, there is the KMP Expressway near Khalilpur in Nuh district, which connects to Sector-65 in Faridabad. The third phase was completed last year. 84% of the work for the second phase has been completed in Faridabad, with the target of completing the remaining 17% by May this year. The target for completing the work on the first phase is December of this year.
Easy access to airports will be provided by the Delhi-Mumbai DND Expressway for the people of the city. A part of the project is being constructed up to Sector-65 in Faridabad. The construction of the Jewar Airport Greenfield Expressway is also being carried out from here. It is approximately 31 km long and is estimated to cost around 1,660 crores. The work for this project started last year.
Connectivity will be strengthened after the completion of this project, providing easy access to various cities in the country from the district. It will connect North-East Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Jaipur, and also provide access to Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai, and Kanpur via NH-48 (Old NH 8). It will also enable access to Lucknow and Kolkata via NH 19 (Old NH 2).
The Delhi-Mumbai DND Expressway is approximately 60 km long, starting from Delhi and ending near Ballabhgarh Bypass and Kailgaon, crossing the Delhi-Agra National Highway. To the west, it intersects with the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) section and the Sohna Peripheral Expressway (WPE) near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway intersection.
In Delhi, the DND Expressway starts from Maharani Bagh. It passes through Khizrabad, Batla House, Okhla Vihar, the western bank of the Yamuna River, Nahr-e-Kolloni, and Jasola Vihar, reaching Jaitpur, which is adjacent to Faridabad.
दिल्ली-मुंबई डीएनडी एक्सप्रेसवे का काम मई तक पूरा हो जाने की तैयारी चल रही है। इसके लिए केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने परियोजना का निरीक्षण किया। दिल्ली-मुंबई डीएनडी एक्सप्रेसवे का कार्य तीन चरणों में किया जा रहा है और पहला चरण दिसंबर तक पूरा होने की योजना है। यह एक्सप्रेसवे लोगों को जेवर हवाई अड्डे तक भी आसानी से पहुंचने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा। इस परियोजना के पूर्ण होने के बाद जिले की देश के विभिन्न शहरों से कनेक्टिविटी मजबूत हो जाएगी। इसमें शामिल होंगे उत्तर-पूर्वी दिल्ली, नोएडा, गाजियाबाद, जयपुर, अहमदाबाद, वडोदरा, मुंबई, कानपुर, लखनऊ और कोलकाता। दिल्ली से डीएनडी महारानी बाग से शुरू होता है और फरीदाबाद तक पहुंचता है।
