Good news for farmers in Bihar’s Ara
In Ara, Bihar, farmers will now have an easier time getting electricity connections for tube wells. They can apply for connections through the convenience app of the electricity department, eliminating the need to go through department officials. Additionally, department officials will visit every village in the district to accept applications for agricultural work from farmers. Camps will be set up from February 17 to 20 for this purpose.
Preparation for electrification in Bhojpur
Under the RDS scheme, work is progressing rapidly to activate 17 new feeders, including 44 agricultural feeders, in the district. Farmers will not only receive electricity in their fields but will also be provided with connections. Several feeders have already been completed, with more being worked on. To make it easier for farmers to get connections, camps are being organized at the panchayat level where they can apply without any cost.
Distribution of sections in the district
The entire district has been divided into seven sections by the electricity department, with each section allocated to specific panchayats. The sections include Ara Gramin, Karisath, Udvantnagar, Sandesh, Geedha, Koilwar, and Badhara. Officials and staff have been assigned to all panchayats, and dates and venues have been provided for the convenience of the farmers.
