Getting a full refund with compensation after a flight cancellation is not as easy as it seems. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation guidelines, the maximum time frame for a refund is between 7 to 30 days. A Passenger’s Experience with Air Fare Refund
An expatriate woman living in Dubai, Tarunish Darayas Dastoor, faced a similar situation. She had booked a SpiceJet flight SG-60 from Dubai to Mumbai in December 2023, which got cancelled for various reasons.
