Resource Crunch in Government Schools

Government schools in Bihar have been facing a shortage of resources for years. Today, we bring you the story of a school where even the blackboard is divided into three parts to teach different subjects in the same room. Due to this, young children are unable to understand Hindi or Urdu properly, as they are being taught multiple subjects in the same room simultaneously.

Classroom Conditions at Urdu Primary School

The situation at Urdu Primary School in Cheriyabaripur, Bihar reflects the state of education in the region. With classrooms accommodating students from Class 1 to 5, the lack of proper infrastructure is evident. The school has a total enrollment of 135 students, with over 75% attendance. However, due to the shortage of rooms, the blackboard is divided into sections to teach multiple classes in the same room simultaneously.

Challenges Faced by Students and Staff

Students like Neeraj Kumar, Gauri Kumari, and Reshma Parveen are struggling with the system where three classes are being taught in one room due to space constraints. The lack of boundaries in the school premises poses a safety risk for the children, as they can easily wander onto the road. Despite raising concerns with higher authorities, the school staff continue to face challenges in providing a conducive learning environment for the students.
