Administrative Preparations for Lok Sabha Elections
With Lok Sabha elections on the horizon, administrative preparations have begun in full swing. Eight check-posts located near the border of West Bengal state have been activated. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shashi Bhushan Mehra and SP Jamtara Animesh Naithani have immediately activated the 8 check-posts bordering Jharkhand and West Bengal till the end of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024. Directives have been given to appoint representatives of law enforcement, police officers, and police forces 24 hours a day, seven days a week until the end of the elections. The appointed representatives are tasked with conducting thorough checks for anti-social elements, suspicious vehicles, illegal drugs, etc., and submitting daily reports.
Check-Posts Activation
Check-posts bordering West Bengal’s neighboring districts of West Bardhaman and Birbhum have been identified. The check-posts in Kanigoi, Mihizam Thana, Hansipahari, Mihizam, Afzalpur, Maheshmunda, Mohanpur (Khadimati), Sudrakshipur (Bagdaheari Thana), Khudmallika, and Murbedia (Bagdaheari Thana) have been made active. Law enforcement officers and police officers/forces have been appointed in three shifts at these check-posts. The DC and SP of Jamtara have instructed the appointed law enforcement officers and police officers to conduct thorough checks for anti-social elements, suspicious vehicles, illegal drugs, etc., and to provide daily progress reports to the Legal Department/Police Election Department.
Special Instructions for Check-Posts
Special instructions have been given for the check-posts to ensure proper vigilance and security during the Lok Sabha elections. The appointed representatives are required to conduct strict checks for any suspicious activities, vehicles, or substances. Daily progress reports must be submitted to the Legal Department/Police Election Department. These measures are being taken in view of Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 to ensure a smooth and secure electoral process in the border areas of Jharkhand and West Bengal.
जिला निर्वाचन पदाधिकारी सह डीसी शशि भूषण मेहरा एवं एसपी जामताड़ा अनिमेष नैथानी ने पश्चिम बंगाल की सीमा से सटे जिले के 8 चेकनाका को एक्टिव कर दिया है। इन चेकनाका में दंडाधिकारी एवं पुलिस पदाधिकारी को असामाजिक तत्वों, संदिग्ध वाहनों, अवैध मादक पदार्थों आदि की जांच करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। यह प्रशासनिक कार्रवाई लोकसभा आम चुनाव 2024 के लिए जारी की गई है।
