**Incident at Shaheed Ishwar Chaudhary Halt**
A gang of thieves who steal grains and other goods from trains passing through Shaheed Ishwar Chaudhary Halt in the Gaya-Koderma rail section, spread rumors of a kidnapping to divert attention from their crime. This led to a stone-pelting incident on RPF jawans by the public, allowing one of the accused to escape. However, a person involved in the security of a grain warehouse was injured during the incident.
**FIR Registered Against Unknown Persons**
An FIR has been registered against a dozen unknown individuals at the city’s rural police station in connection with the incident. The entire case unfolded late on Wednesday evening and gained public attention after the FIR was filed at the police station on Thursday. The identity of the accused who managed to escape from the RPF jawans has been established as Ajit Kumar, a resident of the Buniyadganj police station area.
**RPF Foils Theft Attempt**
Information received indicated that a group of criminals were preparing to cut the signal near the railway line close to Shaheed Ishwar Chaudhary Halt to carry out a criminal act on trains passing through the area. RPF officials were alerted about the activities of the criminals. Upon receiving the information, four RPF officers and jawans arrived at the scene. Despite resistance, the RPF jawans managed to apprehend one of the accused and began taking him to the post at Manpur Railway Station.
**Public Outrage and Injury**
During the scuffle, members of another gang who managed to escape during the scuffle spread rumors of a youth being kidnapped by the police. This led to an attack on the RPF officials and jawans by the public. In the ensuing chaos, security guard Ajay Kumar, who was stationed at the grain warehouse, was injured. Witnessing the public’s anger, the RPF officials and jawans took shelter in a room. Local police forces arrived with reinforcements and safely escorted the RPF jawans away from the scene.
