Car Hanging from Electric Pole and Angry People Jam Road
On Saturday night in the Samastipur district of Bihar, an uncontrolled car hit an elderly person and collided with an electric transformer pole. The elderly person died in the accident, while the two occupants of the car were seriously injured and were sent to the hospital in Darbhanga for treatment. This incident took place near the Hariharpur School in the Mathurapur Panchayat of the Rosera-Hathauri main road. Enraged by the accident, people blocked the road in protest.
Identification of Deceased and Injured
According to information, the deceased has been identified as Ramdas (60), a resident of Hariharpur village. The electric pole was also damaged during the accident. The injured have been identified as Monu Kumar and another person whose identity is unknown. Both have been referred to DMCH after initial treatment.
Sequence of Events Leading to the Accident
On Saturday night, a car was traveling from Rosera towards Hathauri. During this time, the car hit the elderly Ramdas who was walking on the roadside near the Hariharpur School. The driver tried to speed away after hitting the person but lost control of the car and collided with an electric pole, causing it to fall. Fortunately, there was no electricity at that moment, or else both occupants of the car could have died.
Protest and Police Intervention
Upon hearing about the death of the elderly person, angry people placed plants and other objects near the accident site, blocking the Rosera-Hathauri road. This caused a disruption in traffic flow, inconveniencing the public. The local police intervened upon receiving information about the roadblock and cleared the jam after pacifying the crowd.
बिहार के समस्तीपुर जिले में शनिवार रात एक अनियंत्रित कार बुजुर्ग को टक्कर मारते हुए बिजली के ट्रांसफॉर्मर के पोल से जा टकराई। इस हादसे में बुजुर्ग की मौत हो गई और कार सवार दो लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। घटना के बाद गुस्साए लोगों ने सड़क जाम कर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। घटनास्थल पर पुलिस ने समझाने के बाद सड़क जाम खत्म करवाया। बुजुर्ग की मौत की सूचना पर लोगों ने आक्रोश प्रकट किया और घटना को लेकर प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है।
