While Chirag’s party members claim that Paras has accepted to leave the Hajipur seat and has been offered the post of Governor by the BJP, there are also talks about Paras being compelled to stay in the NDA. Chaudhary Mahboob Ali Kaisar has been the MP from Khagaria Lok Sabha seat twice consecutively. In the 2014 elections, he defeated the National People’s Party’s Krishna Kumari Yadav by 76,003 votes, and in 2019, he secured a victory over VIP chief Mukesh Sahni by 2,48,570 votes. The internal conflicts within the Mahagathbandhan and the emergence of multiple contenders have made the political landscape in Khagaria complex, with uncertainties looming over the seat.
