Begusarai Lok Sabha Seat

The Begusarai Lok Sabha seat in Bihar is currently held by BJP’s Giriraj Singh, who is also a central minister. BJP has formed an alliance with Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) in Bihar, but the distribution of seats is still unclear. In the past, this seat has been dominated by BJP and JD(U) alliance, but the upcoming elections will determine the new political landscape.

Electoral Scenario

Begusarai has 7 Vidhan Sabha seats, including Cheria Bariarpur, Bachhwara, Teghra, Matihani, Sahibpur Kamal, Begusarai, and Bakhri. Parties like Congress and CPI are also eyeing this seat, as the left-wing ideology has strong support in the region. The last election saw a strong performance by CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar, who has now switched to Congress for the upcoming elections.

Political Dynamics

The electoral battle in Begusarai is heating up with candidates from various parties vying for the seat. While Giriraj Singh and Rakesh Sinha are leading BJP’s campaign, Kanhaiya Kumar and Amita Bhushan are representing Congress. RJD’s Rajvanshi Mehta, Ashfaq Karim, and Tanveer Hasan are also in the race. The support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains strong in the region, indicating a tough fight ahead for all parties.
