President to Confer Bharat Ratna to Five Distinguished Personalities
President Draupadi Murmu will honor five distinguished personalities of the country with the Bharat Ratna award. Apart from former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani, the other four personalities to be honored posthumously are former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, Narsimha Rao, former CM Karpoori Thakur, and agricultural scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan. Ramnath Thakur will receive the award on behalf of his father.
