In Nalanda, Bihar, a prisoner died under suspicious circumstances on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Raju Kumar (19), son of Chhote Ram, a resident of Naisarai in the Nagar Thana area. The prisoner suddenly fell ill, leading to his admission to the Sadar Hospital by the jail police.

**Allegations of police beating**

The brother of the deceased revealed that his brother was falsely accused and arrested by the Nagar Thana police 25 days ago. He was kept in custody for three days and beaten, causing his health to deteriorate. Despite requests for better treatment, no help was provided. The jail police informed the Sadar Hospital on Friday morning about the deteriorating health of the brother, but he had already passed away.
