Tata Launches New Sumo 7-Seater SUV in India

With a growing demand for premium and luxury cars in the Indian automobile market, Tata Motors has launched a new SUV. The new luxury SUV is ready to compete with cars such as Toyota Innova and Mahindra. The SUV comes with a stunning design, a powerful engine, premium interiors, and robust features.

Tata Sumo SUV: Design and Size

The design of this SUV is very attractive and stylish. It features a large grill, LED headlamps and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and sleek body lines. The interior of the SUV is also magnificent and premium with soft-touch materials, leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. Comparatively, the Tata Sumo SUV is slightly larger than the Innova with a length of 4700mm, width of 1890mm, and height of 1855mm.

Tata Sumo SUV: Modern Features & Price

The Tata Sumo SUV is equipped with many modern and powerful features that outshine cars like Innova. These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, JBL audio system, wireless charging, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and seven airbags. It also comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for safer driving. The starting price of this SUV is expected to be ₹14 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be available in five variants with options for 7 or 8 seats.

Tata Sumo SUV: Engine and Mileage

The new Tata Sumo comes with two engine options ★a 2.2-liter diesel and a 1.5-liter petrol. The 2.2-liter diesel engine generates 170 PS power and 350 Nm torque, while the 1.5-liter petrol engine generates 160 PS power and 240 Nm torque. The 2.2-liter diesel engine offers a mileage of 18 kmpl, while the 1.5-liter petrol engine offers a mileage of 15 kmpl.
