Vespa Scooter’s Spectacular Edition to Debut in a New Avatar

Vespa, the prestigious scooter brand with a global presence, is ready to make a grand entry with the launch of its new edition in a fresh avatar. The Italian company has been present in India for several decades and has partnered with local OEMs for a considerable time. However, for the past decade, it has been operating as an independent entity. In the new avatar, the Vespa scooter is expected to be quite robust in its appearance and will host a variety of features.

Design and Features

The scooter will sport a white paint scheme with distinct blue accents, giving it a sporty and youthful look. It includes ‘140’ branding on the rear fender. A prototype has already been made by the Piaggio Style Centre, which is expected to be displayed at the Vespa World Days 2024 rally. The overall design reveals a glimpse of the classic Vespa style, incorporating a perfect blend of modern and retro elements. Inspired by Vespa 300 GTV, the scooter features a circular headlamp on the front fender, integrated turn indicators with position lamp on the apron, single-piece racing seat, air fin on the side fender, and blue alloy wheel rims.

Powerful Engine

Although detailed information about the engine is not known yet, the Vespa 140th edition is expected to have a 278cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine that delivers a power of 23.8 BHP at 8,250 RPM and a peak torque of 26 NM at 5,250 RPM. It includes a CVT automatic gearbox with a fuel efficiency of 30.3 km/l.

Advanced Features

The scooter is equipped with features such as full LED illumination and a fully-digital circular instrument panel. Other features include a keyless engine start/stop system, traction control, Bluetooth connectivity, and an anti-lock braking system. The company is expected to launch this amazing scooter soon.
