Bihar Weather Update
The weather department has announced relief from the scorching heat in Bihar amidst the intense summer. Relief from the heatwave is expected in the next six days, with some districts also forecasted to receive rainfall. There is a possibility of rain in the northern-eastern districts of the state from Saturday and in the southern-eastern regions from Sunday. Starting from May 6th, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected across the state, with a decrease of up to 3 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures due to weather changes.
Relief from Heatwave
According to IMD officials, there are chances of rainfall in the northern-eastern districts from May 4th, southern-eastern districts from May 5th, and across the entire state from May 6th. The active western disturbance in the Himalayan region has brought relief to Bihar from the severe heatwave and hot winds. The formation of cyclonic circulations in the Bay of Bengal has led to changes in the weather, resulting in a decrease of 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the average temperature of Bihar.
Upcoming Weather Changes
Starting from May 4th to 6th, the weather is expected to change in the northern-eastern and southern-eastern regions of Bihar. The weather patterns are likely to bring rainfall to districts like Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Saharsa, Purnia, Katihar, and further areas in the upcoming days. The impact of cyclonic circulations and cyclogenesis has weakened the heatwave in Bihar, leading to the anticipation of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the state.
