PM Modi Targets Congress and Opposition
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the Congress on Saturday over their comments on President’s visit to Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. He criticized the Congress leaders for insulting the President and also targeted the opposition alliance ‘India’, predicting that Congress will get fewer seats in this Lok Sabha election than his younger son’s age.
Modi’s Rally in Chattisgarh
During a rally in Chattisgarh on Saturday, PM Modi revealed plans to merge smaller parties after the Lok Sabha elections to gain credibility for the alliance. He mocked Rahul Gandhi by saying that Congress will get fewer seats than his younger son’s age. He also mentioned that the opposition alliance has already accepted defeat.
Modi’s Criticism of Congress
PM Modi accused Congress of having a mentality from the 18th century, citing recent events where the President performed puja at Ram Mandir and Congress leaders talked about cleaning the temple. He also predicted that BJP alliances will form governments in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Arunachal Pradesh.
Controversy Over Ram Mandir Cleansing
Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole had mentioned the cleansing of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He stated that after coming to power, the Ram Mandir will be cleansed. However, this statement has sparked controversy as Shankaracharyas have opposed the cleansing, stating that only they have the authority to do so.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शनिवार को कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधा और उन्होंने उनकी टिप्पणियों की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि इस लोकसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस को उसके ‘शहजादे’ की उम्र से भी कम सीटें मिलेंगी। पीएम मोदी ने भी विपक्षी गठबंधन ‘इंडिया’ पर हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि वे छोटे दलों का विलय करने की योजना बना रहे हैं। उन्होंने आंध्र प्रदेश, ओडिशा और अरुणाचल प्रदेश में भी राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन की सरकारें बनेगी, जहां एकसाथ विधानसभा चुनाव हो रहे हैं। मोदी ने उन्हें आरोप लगाया कि उनकी योजना देश की संपत्ति को मुसलमानों को सौंपने की है। वह ने कहा कि महाराष्ट्र कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष नाना पटोले ने भी अयोध्या के राम मंदिर के शुद्धिकरण की बात कही थी। यहाँ तक कि शंकराचार्य ने मंदिर की प्राण प्रतिष्ठा का विरोध किया था, इसलिए चारों शंकराचार्य ही इसका शुद्धिकरण करेंगे।
