Increasing Demand for Mushrooms in Vaishali
The demand for mushrooms has increased significantly in Vaishali, with people consuming it with great enthusiasm. Inspired by a friend, Shivshankar Singh from Katarmala village in Goraul decided to start mushroom cultivation. After receiving training at the agricultural science center in Hajipur, he began his venture with limited resources, starting production in a small chicken farm due to lack of space and funds. Gradually, he expanded his operations and set up an air-conditioned mushroom plant in 2020.
Success Story of Shivshankar Singh
Shivshankar Singh’s initial investment in mushroom cultivation was around twenty lakh rupees, and now he produces 400 kilograms of mushrooms daily. His mushrooms are not only sold in various cities within Bihar but also in other states like Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. The plant employs 25 people, providing them with regular employment opportunities. The high demand for mushrooms ensures that there is no difficulty in selling the produce.

Shivshankar Singh’s success story highlights the potential of mushroom cultivation as a profitable venture. From starting small in a chicken farm to establishing a large-scale plant, his journey showcases the growth and success that can be achieved through dedication and hard work. With a production capacity of 4 quintals per day, the mushroom plant has not only transformed Singh’s life but also created employment opportunities and contributed significantly to the local economy.
वैशाली: मशरूम की अब पूरे दश में बढ़ती हुई डिमांड को देखते हुए लोग इसे बड़े चाव से खा रहे हैं और बड़े पैमाने पर इसकी खेती भी कर रहे हैं। हाजीपुर के गोरौल कटरमाला गांव के रहने वाले शिवशंकर सिंह ने एक मुर्गी फार्म में मशरूम की खेती शुरू की और अब उनके प्लांट में 35 सौ बैग लगाकर बटन प्रजाति के मशरूम की खेती हो रही है। इससे न केवल उन्हें सफलता मिली है बल्कि उन्होंने 25 लोगों को भी रोजगार देकर गांव की आर्थिक स्थिति में सुधार किया है। उनके अनुसार मशरूम की मांग इतनी है कि उन्हें बेचने के लिए सोचने की भी जरुरत नहीं है।
