Allegations of Corruption in MNREGA Scheme in Raghopur Block
In Raghopur block of Supaul district, MNREGA workers are being made to work with JCB machines instead of receiving wages, due to collusion between departmental officials and workers. The incident took place in Ward No. 2 of Karjain Panchayat, where under the MNREGA scheme, a government pond was being cleaned using JCB machines, while fake workers withdrew lakhs of rupees from the government account.
Protests and Demands for Investigation
Local residents, including Shambhu Kamat, Vinod Kumar Ishar, and others, raised the issue with the local police station, DM, SDM, and other officials by submitting written applications. They provided photos and videos of the JCB machine in action at the site. They alleged that MNREGA rules were being violated by officials, and demanded a thorough investigation and action against the responsible parties.
Irregularities and Misuse of Funds
It was revealed that under the pretext of the MNREGA scheme, fake workers were listed in the master rolls, and funds amounting to lakhs of rupees were siphoned off through their bank accounts. The use of JCB machines for the project was also questioned, as it was claimed that such machinery was not necessary for the work being done. The authenticity of the JCB machine videos will be verified through an investigation.
Denial and Future Actions
The MNREGA PDO of Raghopur block, Vijay Kumar Neelam, denied the allegations of corruption and stated that the use of JCB machines was part of an existing scheme. The veracity of the JCB machine videos will be checked to determine the truth behind the allegations. The case highlights the need for proper monitoring and accountability in government schemes to prevent misuse of funds and resources.
सुपौल के राघोपुर प्रखंड क्षेत्र में मनरेगा विभाग से संचालित योजनाओं में विभागीय अधिकारी और कर्मी के मिलीभगत से मनरेगा मजदूर के बदले जेसीबी मशीन से काम कराया जा रहा है। मामला राघोपुर प्रखंड क्षेत्र की करजाइन पंचायत स्थित वार्ड संख्या 2 बसावनपट्टी गांव में हुआ है, जहाँ से पुलिस और अन्य अधिकारी को लिखित आवेदन देकर ग्रामीणों ने योजना स्थल पर चल रहे जेसीबी मशीन की फोटो और वीडियो उपलब्ध कराते हुए मामले की जानकारी दी। योजना कार्य में जेसीबी मशीन का प्रयोग किया गया है, जिससे ग्रामीणों का धन गबन किया गया है। ग्रामीणों ने सभी संबंधित अधिकारियों से मांग की है कि उक्त कार्य एवं योजना का निरीक्षण कर पीआरएस विजय कुमार के ऊपर उचित कार्रवाई की जाए।
