Tragic Suicide of a Minor Girl in Sonbarsa, Madhepura
In a heartbreaking incident in the Sonbarsa area of Madhepura, a minor girl committed suicide by hanging herself on Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as Khushboo Kumari, a 12-year-old daughter of Singheshwar Mandal, a resident of Sonbarsa Ward 2 under Alamnagar Nagar Panchayat.
Family Struggles and Tragic Decision
According to the family members who came to the hospital for postmortem, Khushboo was not interested in studying and would often demand a mobile phone from her father. Despite her father’s scolding to focus on her studies, she took the drastic step of ending her life by hanging herself in anger.
Financial Struggles and Educational Aspirations
Despite the financial struggles of Khushboo’s father, he still sent her to private tuition along with a government school to ensure she received a good education. On Thursday evening, when her father asked her to write the number 17 to test her knowledge, Khushboo couldn’t do it, leading to a scolding and a tragic outcome.
Police Investigation and Postmortem
Khushboo ran away from home after the incident and was found hanging in a room in the courtyard. When she didn’t return for a long time, her family started searching for her and found her body. The police were informed, and the body was sent for postmortem at the Sadar Hospital. The Alamnagar Police Station in-charge, Akhilesh Kumar, stated that the police are investigating the case and have handed over the postmortem report to the family.
