Violent Clash in Purnia
In Purnia, a violent clash broke out among children which escalated into a serious physical altercation. Five members of the same family were injured in the altercation with their neighbors, with two of them sustaining severe injuries. Local residents helped admit all the injured to GMCH Purnia for treatment.
Details of the Incident
The injured individuals from the Bithnauli Purab Panchayat area include Kamal Sharma (35), his father Ramdev Sharma (53), brother Mantu Kumar (16), mother Shanti Devi (51), and sister Pinki Devi (28). A complaint has been filed at the local police station regarding the violence by the injured party.
Sequence of Events
Kamal Sharma explained that the clash initially occurred between children playing, which was later resolved. However, on Friday morning, the neighbors came to their house with weapons, threatened them, and started abusing them. When they objected, a physical fight ensued, leading to the neighbors attacking them with sticks and rods, resulting in injuries to Kamal Sharma and his family members.
Police Action and Medical Treatment
The matter was eventually resolved with the intervention of local residents, and all the injured individuals were admitted to GMCH Purnia for medical treatment. A written complaint has been filed at the local police station regarding the violent incident, and the police have assured appropriate action will be taken.
