Discovery of a Body in Fulkabahiyar, Munger
In the Fulkabahiyar area of Dharhara police station in Munger, the discovery of an unidentified person’s body has created a sensation. The locals are in a state of fear. According to the local police, the deceased has been identified as Sonu Kum, a 40-year-old resident of Chhoti Daulatpur in the Jamalpur police station area. A woman from Govindpur Indian Bank branch found the body in a pan located 100 meters behind Bahiyar while going for defecation on Thursday morning.
Police Investigation and Postmortem
Upon receiving information from the woman, the Dharhara police station chief Pramod Kumar, SI Sanjeev Kumar, ASI Kundan Dalbal, along with others, reached the scene to investigate. The body was sent to the Sadar hospital for postmortem. Injuries were found on the left eye and abdomen of the deceased. It appears that the criminals brutally beat and murdered the person at another location and then dumped the body in Fulkabahiyar’s pan.

The pan where the body was found is in a state of neglect in Fulkabahiyar. The incident site is surrounded by villages on three sides ★one side is the village bordering the Jamalpur area, while on the other side is the village of Dashrathpur-Jamalpur on the main road, and on the third side is the larger Govindpur village, located about 100 meters away.
Further Actions and Family Notification
Dharhara police station chief Pramod Kumar mentioned that the deceased’s family has been informed about the incident. Further action will be taken based on the application received from the family members. Investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the death and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
