Violation of Using IG’s Image in Advertisement
The IG of Tirhut Range, Shivdeep Waman Lande, has filed a complaint at the Muzaffarpur Nagar Thana regarding the unauthorized use of his image in an advertisement for personal gain. The image was published without permission in a newspaper ad, leading to a primary complaint being registered at the police station. The Station House Officer confirmed the incident and stated that using the image without consent is inappropriate.
Removal of Unauthorized Advertisement
An incident occurred where a private YouTuber collaborated with sponsors to publish an advertisement in a prominent newspaper featuring IG Shivdeep Lande in uniform for a talent hunt show. The IG Lande expressed his disapproval, stating that the advertisement was published without his consent and for personal gain. A FIR has been filed against the individuals and the institution responsible for the advertisement.
Legal Actions Taken
The Station House Officer informed that using IG Lande’s image for personal and advertising purposes falls under the category of fraud and misrepresentation. A complaint has been registered at the police station against all four individuals involved in the talent hunt show for actions under various sections of the IPC. The case includes charges under sections 419, 420, 468, 479, 500, 502, 120, and 34 of the IPC.
बिना इजाजत और इच्छा के अपने लाभ के लिए विज्ञापन में वर्दी लगी हुई एक तस्वीर का इस्तेमाल करने के मामले में मुजफ्फरपुर के नगर थाना में प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है। इस मामले में आईपीसी की धारा 419, 420, 468, 479, 500, 502, 120 और 34 आईपीसी के तहत मामला दर्ज़ किया गया है। इसको लेकर IG शिवदीप लांडे ने संज्ञान लेते हुए इस मामले को गंभीर बताया और उक्त विज्ञापन जारी करने वाली संस्थान सहित 4 के खिलाफ कार्रवाई के लिए एफआईआर दर्ज कराया है। विजय कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि आईजी रेंज तिरहुत क्षेत्र के शिवदीप लांडे की एक तस्वीर का इस्तेमाल अपने निजी व्यवसाय और विज्ञापन के लिए किया गया है जो कि फ्रॉड करने और नाम का गलत इस्तेमाल करने की श्रेणी में आता है।
