Gold and Silver Prices Surge in Patna
Since the beginning of the year, there has been a noticeable increase in the prices of gold and silver. In April, the prices reached record highs, with gold nearing Rs 80,000 per 10 grams and silver setting new records. The Vice President of the Patliputra Sarafa Association, Ajay Kumar, stated that in 2019, 10 grams of 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 38,000, while currently, the rate has more than doubled.
Current Rates in the Sarafa Market
On Monday, the price of 22-carat gold was Rs 69,800 per 10 grams, while 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 76,950 per 10 grams in Patna. Previously, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 76,350 per 10 grams, and 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 68,600 per 10 grams. Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold has reached Rs 58,300.
Silver Prices Reach New Highs
Unlike gold, silver has seen a significant increase in prices, with a rise of Rs 5000 per kilogram. Currently, silver is priced at Rs 90,000 per kilogram in the Sarafa Mandi. Previously, the price of silver was Rs 85,000 per kilogram.
