Increasing demand for electric vehicles in the Indian market has led to fierce competition among electric vehicle manufacturers. In an effort to boost sales, companies are resorting to various methods. Greaves Electric Mobility, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, has reduced prices of its electric scooters to stay competitive.
The company recently launched its flagship electric scooter, Nexus, and has now reduced prices of its other models. The entry-level, low-speed e-scooter, Reo Li Plus, comes with a removable battery and does not require registration or a license to ride. It is capable of giving a range of more than 70 kilometers on a single charge and has a top speed of 25 kilometers per hour.
The Magnus range of electric scooters includes two variants, EX and LT, with different battery ranges and top speeds. The EX variant can go up to 100 kilometers on a single charge, while the LT variant can give a range of 80 kilometers. The top speed of the EX variant is 50 kilometers per hour, while the LT variant can go up to 45-50 kilometers per hour.
The company’s high-performance electric scooter, Ampere Nexus, was also recently launched in the Indian market. It comes with a 3kWh LFP battery and can give a range of 136 kilometers on a single charge, with a top speed of 93 kilometers per hour. It is powered by a 4 kW electric motor.
With the reduction in prices, Greaves Electric Mobility aims to increase sales and capture a larger share of the growing Indian electric vehicle market.
