Violence in Chhapra

In a firing incident between RJD and BJP supporters in Chhapra, a youth lost his life while two others were injured. This incident has sparked political statements, with RJD candidate Rohini Acharya accusing BJP of instilling fear and resorting to violence. She mentioned being verbally abused and attacked by BJP supporters during her booth visit on Monday.

Call for Action

Rohini Acharya demanded that FIRs be filed against the BJP goons and urged the administration to arrest them. She emphasized her right as a candidate to visit every booth without fear of violence. Meanwhile, Tejashwi Yadav stressed that elections should not be marred by violence, calling for a peaceful democratic process.

Response from Leaders

Tarakeshwar Prasad, former Deputy CM, accused RJD of trying to disrupt the elections by creating chaos in Chhapra. He condemned the attempts to disturb the electoral process and stated that such actions would not bring anyone to power. Tejashwi Yadav highlighted the need for the administration to investigate the matter thoroughly.

Meeting with the Injured

Rohini Acharya visited the injured in the hospital and assured them of justice. One of the injured was referred to PMCH for further treatment. The incident in Chhapra has raised concerns about the safety and security of candidates and voters during the election period.
