Tragic Accident in Begusarai

In Begusarai, the havoc of high-speed accidents continues. On Tuesday afternoon, a youth was crushed to death by a milk tanker speeding on NH-31. The incident occurred near Kapsya Chowk in the Nagar police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ratan Kumar (25), son of Raja Ram Mahato, a resident of Ulav in the Singhoul police station area.

Family and Locals Demand Compensation

Upon receiving news of the incident, chaos ensued among relatives, and angry locals demanded compensation near the accident site on NH-31. The milk tanker driver was caught and handed over to the police after being chased down by the people. Ratan had recently opened a tea stall in Begusarai market. He was carrying all the items from the shop on his bicycle this afternoon when the tragic accident occurred.

Details of the Tragic Accident

As Ratan was passing near Kapsya Chowk, a milk tanker coming from Barauni ran over him, resulting in his death on the spot. After the incident, the tanker driver attempted to flee, but due to heavy traffic, local residents caught the vehicle and the driver. The police were informed by family members and locals, and the Nagar police station is currently working on sending the body for post-mortem and clearing the traffic jam.

Outrage and Grief in the Community

The tragic death of the sole earning member of the family has left the community in shock and grief. They are demanding immediate compensation for the family. The police are working to investigate the incident further and ensure justice for the victim and his family.
