The deceased has been identified as Ratan Kumar (25), son of Raja Ram Mahato, a resident of Ulav in the Singhoul police station area.

As Ratan was passing near Kapsya Chowk, a milk tanker coming from Barauni ran over him, resulting in his death on the spot. After the incident, the tanker driver attempted to flee, but due to heavy traffic, local residents caught the vehicle and the driver. The police were informed by family members and locals, and the Nagar police station is currently working on sending the body for post-mortem and clearing the traffic jam.
