Over 10,000 Passengers Caught Without Tickets in Bihar

More than 10,000 passengers were caught without tickets in a single day at various stations in Bihar, leading to the collection of fines amounting to Rs. 80.55 lakh. An ongoing campaign is being conducted against passengers traveling without tickets or with improper tickets in the five zones of the East Central Railway, including Express, Superfast, Passenger, and MEMU trains.

Special Ticket Checking Drive Conducted at Key Stations

A special ticket checking drive was conducted simultaneously at important stations in the zones of Danapur, Sonpur, Samastipur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, and Dhanbad. Heavy teams of Ticket Examiners and Railway Security Force personnel were deployed at major stations like Patna, Ara, Buxar, Mokama, Sasaram, Dhanbad, Gomoh, Koderma, and more to ensure compliance with ticketing regulations.

Rigorous Inspection of Coaches on Various Trains

Coaches of popular trains like the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, Vaishali Express, Ranchi Jan Shatabdi Express, Rajya Rani Express, and others were specially inspected, along with all passenger and MEMU trains. Special ticket checks were conducted on all trains to crack down on ticketless travelers and those with invalid tickets.

नई दिल्‍ली से बिहार के विभिन्‍न स्‍टेशनों से बिना टिकट यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों के खिलाफ एक अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इस अभियान में बहुत सारे यात्री पकड़े गए और 80 लाख 55 हजार रुपये जुर्माने के रूप में वसूले गए। इसके साथ ही रेलवे ने विभिन्‍न ट्रेनों में भी टिकट जांच की गयी और बेटिकट यात्रियों को पकड़ा गया।
